This spring/summer I am going to purchase a set of new wheels. I am stuck in the middle and can't decide if I wast to go with the 18" CSL reps or the 18" LM reps. I'm leaning more towards the LMs. What do you think? Help me out. | | | 03-29-2007, 02:23 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2005 Location: Puerto Rico Posts: 885 | I like the third with the black background __________________ BMW...MY NEW TOY Mods: Some plastic parts, ///M Wheels and me | | | 03-30-2007, 12:06 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Oklahoma Posts: 179 | Same, those look clean. | | | 03-30-2007, 12:11 AM | #4 | Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: Chicago, IL USA Posts: 58 | im with father on this one... if im right the ones he is talking about are the LM, those are sharp and classy, exactly like a BMW should look. | | | 04-23-2007, 06:07 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: PA Posts: 822 | Well I just placed an order through modbargains.com for a staggered set of 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 CSL rep wheels. Hopefully I'll receive them by friday so I can get tires and install them on my car this weekend. I can't wait... | | | 04-23-2007, 06:33 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2004 Location: Florida Posts: 1,595 | Quote: Originally Posted by Triple_A im with father on this one... if im right the ones he is talking about are the LM, those are sharp and classy, exactly like a BMW should look. | The one he was talking about was the CSL's | | | 04-23-2007, 06:35 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2004 Location: Florida Posts: 1,595 | Quote: Originally Posted by madfronter Well I just placed an order through modbargains.com for a staggered set of 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 CSL rep wheels. I was leaning in the direction of the LMs but CSLs have been my favorite wheel since I first saw them. For some reason I think the LM's look better on E30s. I haven't seen a ti with the CSLs yet either. I'm sure I'll like them a lot. I clay barred my car this weekend so as soon as I get the wheels and tires installed on the car, it will be ready for pics. | | | 04-23-2007, 07:04 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: maritimes Posts: 1,433 | LM's are my all time favorite wheel... but good choice none-the-less!! 18's are too big for my roads, and i can't find 17" LM's reps.. soooo im just going with DSII's - i can't wait for my new wheels Pics or ban once you get them __________________ 11/97 Base 328Ti | | | 05-21-2007, 07:48 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: PA Posts: 822 | This is just an update on the status of my wheels. I finally received my wheels last wednesday after waiting almost a month for them to be shipped out. I guess there is such a high demand for these CSL reps they were on backorder. Then last friday I called around for tires and had to have them ordered. I went with BF Goodrich G-Force T/A KDW NT which will be mounted after work tonight. Hopefully I'll be able to get some shots of my car with the new wheels this week. I know it's supposed to rain most of the week so I'll see what happens. | | | 05-21-2007, 11:14 PM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2004 Location: Tracy, California Posts: 473 | Then let's make mine to be the first one you see. I had 18" CSLs on for a while but now I went to 17" staggered contours. __________________ 1989 E30 325is 5s Coupe Zinnoberrot 1991 E30 325i Auto Coupe Schwartz 1991 E30 325is 5s Coupe Hellrot 1995 318ti E36 Alpine White III DASC (RIP) 1996 328i 4Dr Artic Silver (RIP) 1999 M3 Estoril Blue Metallic RMS Vortech SC 2001 325i E46 Alpine White - Sports Package (SOLD) 2005 E46 M3 Coupe SMG | | | 05-22-2007, 01:51 PM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: PA Posts: 822 | Well I took my wheels to have the tires mounted and the machine broke while they were putting the first tire on and it scratched my wheel. They are now having the wheel refinished and they took 100.00 off the price of the tires. That ish pissed me off but I kept a cool head since they are making good on their F up. As long as the wheel look like new when I pick the wheels up I will be okay. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
