Hmmm. Interesting. Got my numbers out of January 2005 Roundel article on the M10, M42, M44 and S14 motors which is supposedly a reproduction of BMW NA specs. Actually, the numbers at the URL aren't too far off of what I quoted. 242 degrees vs. 240 degrees duration and 9.68mm versus 9.7mm lift. This *could* be within tolerances. The Bentley manual doesn't have the camshaft specifications. Darn. -Derek 95 318i | | | 03-01-2006, 05:44 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2004 Location: MD/VA/DC Posts: 834 | is the intake cams same as the exhaust cams if not can some one tell me the spec on each | | | 03-01-2006, 09:44 AM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: San Jose, CA, USA Posts: 253 | Just to make things slightly less clear, I believe there is some adjustment to them as well, however, I haven't heard of anyone taking advantage of that to make lots more power. __________________ Andy Chittum - Mad Man Motorsports | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | Similar Threads | Thread | Thread Starter | Forum | Replies | Last Post | OBDII EWS delete | mooseheadm5 | Engine Swaps | 12 | 03-28-2007 08:30 PM | |
