Default are these fake???

hey guys, i need your help infiguring out if these rims are fakes......

i wanted to buy some ZHP (style 135) wheels from a guy here but they are anthrancite in color. he is asking $1000 for them. i asked them if they were OEM and he said that he bought them from a BMW dealership in Jersey. my concern came when whenever i do a search for them, i never see them in any other color except for the grey/silver color. i c that this company called vortex tuning.com makes a rep in the anthrancite color. so i guess i wanna know how could i tell if they are non-OEM and does BMW make their rims in any other colors expect silver/grey and polished silver?

thankz guyz

Don't the BMW wheels have "BMW" somewhere on the brake side of the wheel as part of the casting?

I think I remember seeing that on mine.

But, maybe fakes do too!

good point.....i remember when i asked about the diff between real a rep contors was that it does say BMW on the wheel.

i just have my doubts about this one because i find it hard to believe that he would be the only guy with anthrancite oem rims.

Ask and find out what the offsets are. I ran ZHP wheels for a while and I know that the fronts are 18x8 with an offset of +47 and the rears are 18x8.5 with an offset of +51.
I also do know that some BMW dealerships sell SOME OEM wheels with various finishes (from what I remember, I've seen regular silver, glossy black, and chrome.) So if he really did buy them at the BMW dealsership, then they might be real.
The only way to really find out is to check the inside of the wheel behind the spokes and look for specs.
Do they come with tires?

EDIT: Here's a thread I just searched for with the wheel specs btw

LMAO!!

if they are factory bmw wheels, on the brakeside one of the spokes should have the last seven digits of the the wheel's bmw part number.

so for example on those style 135s the front wheels should read on one of the inner spokes: 7 896 470 or 6 896 470 and for the rear 7 896 490 or 6 896 490

that should clear that up for you :-)

if you do see that part number on there then they definitely got the wheels painted because that number refers to the alloy finish

so i def think these are reps from vortextunin. he posted them again and for the specs said the offset for the rims are 35 but for the OEM's they are 47. would a BMW dealer sell aftermarket rims like that though?

i cant speak for every dealer, but my dealership sure wouldn't. the only way we'd get a hold of them is if a customer purchased some oem wheels from me and we gave the customer some $$ for his old wheels (which rarely happens because what we'd offer the customer for his/her wheels would be pretty insulting) plus i strongly doubt my manager would accept aftermarket wheels. but again, i can't speak for every dealership.
