Default DIY clutch replacement

How hard is it to replace a clutch w/ jackstands? I own a set of 4 U.S.A made 4 ton jackstands, but is there enough room to pull the tranny out & have enough room to pull the exhaust, etc.?

Stuart, yes. Done it for multiple BMWs by myself. Helps to have a tranny jack. Also to have an extra jackstand or two as an example to support the exhaust when you are removing it. They can be lower capacity stands.

No tranny jack? Bring a friend. BTW, I got a low end tranny jack from Harbor Frieght for I think $39 on sale.

Easier for a manual. Autos swaps/repairs are a little harder, just due the weight and size difference.
