when renewing the pump, find a pump with a cast/metal impellar. The OE pump you remove will have a hard plastic impellar. They can be a bear to remove. Take the pulley off and shoot a little Pb Blaster around the seal. You basically just remove the bolts and then carefully thread the removed bolts into the -back out- pilot holes, 2 of them. One may be hard to get the bolt threaded in there due to the housing of the pump being in the way. If threaded back in evenly, the pump should pop and start backing off the block.
