Just make sure its an E36 custom bumper thatll look like the E46 front bumper. There's plenty in ebay. | | | 03-09-2007, 04:42 AM | #3 | Member Join Date: Jan 2007 Location: Michigan Posts: 46 | will an e46 regular bumper fit? | | | 03-13-2007, 06:36 PM | #4 | Member Join Date: Jan 2007 Location: Michigan Posts: 46 | also will i need a e46 hood along with an e46 bumper for the front to look the same? | | | 03-13-2007, 07:21 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2005 Location: çî†ÿ øf åNgëL§, CA Posts: 5,314 | Quote: Originally Posted by 318racer also will i need a e46 hood along with an e46 bumper for the front to look the same? | No because youll be getting a e36, E46 front bumper style. | | | 03-13-2007, 07:24 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: Florida Posts: 2,525 | It depends on how far you want to take the conversion. Most people just buy the E46style bumper for their E36. I have seen some people that have actually changed their headlight styles and the hood so that the complete front matches the E46 style. That would be a custom job as I've not seen a kit to change the style of the hood. | | | 03-13-2007, 10:01 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2005 Location: Vancouver, B.C. I looked into it a few years ago and it will be costly to do it properly. __________________ | | | 03-13-2007, 10:13 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2007 Location: Ireland Posts: 382 | wow why would ever want to do that.... the e36 looks so much better than a e46 and you would ruin that by sticking a e46 front end on it ??? __________________ ............................. ..........1999 318iS Coupe.......... They have the whole kit over in germany, but it is a lot of work. They make the whole e36 body panel conversion to, but they don't make a whole conversion for the Ti. | | | 03-14-2007, 04:29 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Saint Paul, MN Posts: 3,244 | Quote: Originally Posted by brucetodd That conversion would be sick. | -1 __________________ My Former Rides 1999 318ti Alpine White, Cali Roof, Dinan goodies 1996 318ti Hellrot California Edition | | | 03-14-2007, 09:10 PM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: SOUTH Jersey Posts: 1,085 | the E46 Ti is nasty looking anyway. | | | 03-15-2007, 01:31 AM | #12 | Member Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: La Crosse, WI Posts: 45 | You have to admit that a custom job like that around here in the states would turn heads. People always say anyway that they've never seen a BMW like mine before. It would just make it more rare, not to mention it's his car anyway. DO WHAT YOU WANT!!! I wouldn't do it personally, but I like to see that stuff. | | | 03-15-2007, 02:06 AM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2005 Location: Quad Cities, Iowa Posts: 2,110 | You have officially lost your right to speak. __________________ "Drive Fast and Take Chances" | | | 03-15-2007, 02:30 AM | #14 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2006 Location: G-dale, California Posts: 1,698 | Quote: Originally Posted by 96cali -1 | -1 i concur i think the E36 is nicer in every way ...it doesn't look modern or have this stupid wimpy look to it.
