Well, the Mercedes seat just collapsed when sat on, which Im told is pretty common for them. The seats in the 2012 Taurus are very firm, there is almost no give when your weight is resting on them, but its not uncomfortable. Quite the opposite actually. Being firm wasnt the Mustang's problem either, it was the noticible gap between my lower back and the seat. Like I said, my Taurus solves this problem with an inflatable bladder in that area of the seat, which becomes very firm (supportive, in other words) when I use that feature.

Your suggestion of finding something specificly made for this problem is a good one, and I appreciate it. I dont know of a store like you describe, maybe I can find it via the internet when the time comes.

I have back issues too. I took Trixie to an auto upholstery shop and they added some padding in the lumbar area of the drivers seat. It was back in 1997, so I don't remember the price, but I recall it wasn't very expensive. You can also get memory foam pillows on eBay for $15 or so.

Thats a great idea (adding support)! Now I can own a newer Mustang without weekly trips to the ER lol. Seriously, I was being genuine about the idea, I love it. Id honestly never considered it. Dont know why not, seems logical.

Anyway, I found this one, I just am not able to take advantage of it right now. Its somewhat close (NOLA is like a 2 hour drive for me), its cheap, its a manual, and I even like the color. http://neworleans.craigslist.org/cto/5044292446.html
I have no idea what work it needs, guess it could be a radiator or an engine rebuild. If I had the ability to buy it, Id find out, but with whats been going on with me lately (family tragedy), its just not possible right now.

I also found a 95 Mitsubishi Mighty Max with 153k for like $1800 tjat would be perfect for me, too, but such is life.
