Default Hello and Introduction

Hello everyone! I'm new to the forum. I'm actually surprised I hadn't already joined ages ago. Been a member of BFC, M3forums, 2002faq and r3vlimited for the last 8-10 years or so. Member of BMW CCA for 7 or so years (waited really long before joining them too.)
I have wanted a ti since 1998, but never really could justify buying one. I have owned an '84 318i, '88 M3, '92 325i, '73 2002, '95 525i, '97 M3, '89 325i, and wife's 99 528it. I have basically owned a BMW since I was 17 years old.

I may actually be buying one within the week or two assuming my M3 sells in the next few days. Some may think its a huge "downgrade", but I have always wanted one and well, I do what I want!

Hope to get to know you guys better really soon.

Welcome to the NorCal ti crew! Between BlackBMWs and myself, we pretty much have the ti market wrapped up...

I've had an e21, e30 318i, e34 M50 touring, e36 M3, and currently have 3 ti's (2 swapped, one not), NA and NB Miatas, and a truck for hauling...

Rich's BMW collection, however, eclipses us both...

We will have another NorCal meeting soon, hope to see you there!

Hello,
We just picked up a very nice 1997 Calypsorot 318ti to use primarily for Autocross and as a back-up DD. He's in need of new paint due to extensive clear coat failure, and the interior is faded, but he runs great.
sadly, he didn't get through his first Autocross without finding out we have a bad front left wheel bearing, so he's now getting new wheel bearings, control arms(with M3 bushings), and tie rod ends, plus an alignment and he should be ready for the next one.

Now you're just showing off. Got to fix the drivers window on one this morning and if the heat breaks soon, I can get working on the Alaska Blue again.
