I will probably grab this model if noone else wants it... | | | 01-12-2006, 05:06 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2005 Location: Asheville NC Posts: 669 | Quote: Originally Posted by J!m Cool! I've always had my eye out for them. | | | 01-12-2006, 05:18 PM | #4 | TRETEN IRGENDEINES ESELS Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Rhode Island Posts: 3,687 | There is also a 316i there someplace. __________________ 98 Avus Blue 318 ti Active clear outs all around, stealth turning signals, blue led interior lights, 35% tinted windows,K&N air filter, 12" Kenwood Sub, MTX Thunder Amp,Alpine cd changer, Leatherz Armrest,ACS Pedals/Handbrake/FloorMats & Vitesse Tuning Carbon Fiber B-Pillars/CF Spark Plug Cover, New 16" MSW Typer 14 Rims on Goodyear Triple Treds www.myspace.com/avusblueti | | | 01-12-2006, 05:20 PM | #5 | Moderator Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Bouncing off the rev limiter in CT! Posts: 3,156 | I usually order the odd stuff at my local hobby shop (ask at yours for the catalogue- they will only stock what they think they can sell), or if I run across something interesting I just grab it. I probably have over 100 un-assembled models (many no longer available) in my collection. I've been so busy lately I've not worked on a model in probably two years. The last thing I was working on was a Millenium Falcon model. I have about 700 hours into it now, with only another 20 or 30 to go to completion. I am the point of 'weathering' it now, and that is the trickiest part... I was also hung up on a way to re-produce the round chess board in the interior. I was looking at old war planes with the checkerboard on the prop nose, but nothing was fitting. I may have to hand-paint it, but the board is a bout the size of a dime... For other Star Wars models I have completed the (no longer available) Snow Speeded model from Empire. Complete and weatherd to match the Skywalker speeder (but careful examination of the film shows many different models that he was "flying" in, so I had to compromise a bit on it). TONS of cars in the collection- mostly Mopar stuff, but I have a Porsche 73 carerra RS and the Buick GNX among others... I enjoy it, and the attention to detail is fun. It makes real cars seem easy... | | | 01-12-2006, 11:33 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2005 Location: Asheville NC Posts: 669 | J!m, I assume that you're J!m j!m on ebay? Posts: 3,156 | I am, and I bid fairly high for what it's worth (hoping it doesn't get driven up on me) But if I'm out-bid, I won't loose any sleep over it... I still have those Dragon models to do yet (ti and M3 to bash for one sport ti)... I appreciate you checking with me however. very nice of you! | | | 01-12-2006, 11:39 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2005 Location: Asheville NC Posts: 669 | no problem. It's not worth much more to me than the price it's at currently anyway, no use in you paying more just because I bid up a few bucks. you could always go get this overpriced one, it's from the same seller as the ice tray http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1 | | | 01-12-2006, 11:55 PM | #9 | TRETEN IRGENDEINES ESELS Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Rhode Island Posts: 3,687 | Quote: Originally Posted by J!m I am, and I bid fairly high for what it's worth (hoping it doesn't get driven up on me) But if I'm out-bid, I won't loose any sleep over it... That way you have a better chance of getting it. __________________ 98 Avus Blue 318 ti Active clear outs all around, stealth turning signals, blue led interior lights, 35% tinted windows,K&N air filter, 12" Kenwood Sub, MTX Thunder Amp,Alpine cd changer, Leatherz Armrest,ACS Pedals/Handbrake/FloorMats & Vitesse Tuning Carbon Fiber B-Pillars/CF Spark Plug Cover, New 16" MSW Typer 14 Rims on Goodyear Triple Treds www.myspace.com/avusblueti | | | 01-13-2006, 12:14 AM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: state college, pa Posts: 3,431 | That's the same thing I saw when I asked if somebody was a certain ebay username. Problem is, I have an R/C SANTE210 (wakeboard boat) to finish, and a YZR500 (MotoGP bike) that's still in the box. __________________ I scream, you scream, we all scream for ZOMBIES. | | | 01-13-2006, 12:46 AM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2003 Location: cary, nc Posts: 2,259 | looks like a cool model...have fun jim jim! __________________ 1995 318ti Active Pioneer Speakers [] Aluminum Billet door locks [] ACS Pedals/Deadrest [] ACS Shift Knob / E-Brake Handle [] Clear Corners/Tails/Sides [] Sylvania Exterior Lighting [] Custom CAI [] Dinan Engine Chip [] Dinan Transmission Chip [] H&R Race Springs [] Tokico Illumina Shocks [] BMW X-Brace [] Relocated Lighter Mod [] Custom iPod Mod http://www.cardomain.com/id/robcarync | | | 01-13-2006, 12:53 AM | #12 | Moderator Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Bouncing off the rev limiter in CT!
