Same seller sold a set a couple days ago for $96. Somebody snatch these up! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/RDSPO...Q5fAccessories | | | 01-04-2010, 02:50 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2008 Location: Raleigh/Charlotte, NC Posts: 1,233 | Jess getting behind the bandwagon of Chinese suspension products...wow never thought I would see the day. FWIW, and probably worth nothing, I personally wouldn't even put these in my trunk. __________________ -Jeff | | | 01-04-2010, 03:37 AM | #3 | Junior Member Join Date: Nov 2009 Location: Omaha, NE Posts: 17 | I actually bought that exact listing. Bought lowering springs and a wing for my e34 and door sills from them and they were all legit and good quality. Unless the chinese knockoffs replicate everything from the racing dynamic molded print to the instructions and all the labels. They have had a lot of good deals in the past and probally more to come. So just because its cheap doesnt mean it is a knockoff. | | | 01-04-2010, 03:41 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: norcal - 94590 Posts: 3,186 | Quote: Originally Posted by Xenocide Jess getting behind the bandwagon of Chinese suspension products...wow never thought I would see the day. IIRC, these are the Italian made Racing Dynamics (branded here in the US as RD Sport)... The quality is decent, too. Not as nice as H&R or Eibach, but certainly better than anything DDM sells... __________________ James 95 active w/leather interior and sport interior conversion, Vaders, full M-Tech exterior conversion. I'm running H&R race springs, a very unique application at that. 1.9L Z3 H&R race springs in the rear and e36 M3 H&R race springs up front paired with Bilstein Sports. I was unaware that Racing Dynamics made Chinese replica parts. It's always been my understanding that they were a reputable company that specialized in European performance parts. That being said, I noticed another member claims to have paid $290 for a set that he's selling and when I saw these on ebay I thought it would be a great deal to pass along since I can't run them on my car. I know of a couple members on this forum who run these springs and I've yet to hear any complaints | | | 01-04-2010, 06:42 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | Quote: Originally Posted by cooljess76 I was unaware that Racing Dynamics made Chinese replica parts. I mean I've seen all kinds of racing dynamics, AC Schitzer and Alpina counterfeit emblems and plastic parts floating around on ebay, but didn't think they'd go as far to counterfeit springs. | | | 01-04-2010, 06:58 AM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Portland Or Posts: 2,666 | Nope its very common, shocks and struts too. I spotted some at a car show, they were a Japanese brand painted to match Koni. The Koni guy happened to be there so I pointed it out to him. There are a lot of companies that make springs, I can have them custom wound locally, trip to the powder coater and a decal and your there.... The seller is RD Sport (the "real" Racing Dynamics) and they have been trying to get rid of their old inventory for awhile now, hence the dirt cheap prices. __________________ '98 Avus Blue 318ti Sport | '86 Arctic Blue 325 2.8i stroker | '11 LeMans Blue 328i Sport Wagon www.strictlyeta.net | | | 01-08-2010, 07:50 PM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2009 Location: NYC Posts: 134 | damn i was outbidded with like 5 sec left to go...argh!! | | | 01-08-2010, 07:51 PM | #12 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | Quote: Originally Posted by Fred Guys, those are genuine RD springs. A couple of the SoCal guys went down to their shop and it was legit. We had this discussion a while back when the seller posted on this site and people were skeptical. I wouldn't have posted if I didn't think they were real Racing Dynamics parts. Anyway, they're sold now and someone got a great deal. Like I said, they wouldn't do me any good since my car has a 6cyl. | | | 01-12-2010, 02:43 AM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2009 Location: NYC Posts: 134 | just got mine for 115 shipped..anyone looking to buy, just message the seller.. | | | 01-12-2010, 03:10 AM | #14 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2006 Location: Oxford, Ohio Posts: 868 | Are these lower than sport springs?
