Eric, that is exactly what I did; not purposely. I have since reversed it, and I can now open the hatch with the bike on.

I was watching Seinfeld this evening, and caught a glimpse of the bucycle he has hanging in his apartment. It's a KLEIN, like mine

Took the bike out last Sunday for a nice ride, had a blast. There are some great trails for MTBs to ride on Long Island.

did you reverse the hitch base from the way it's "supposed" to be installed? i got the tilt model so i could still access the hatch area and the base would have to be flipped from the way you have it mounted for it to tilt/fold down properly.
