I feel the same way about people slamming my doors. And I have also had people fumble with the seat controls. They are labeled so I don't see the confusion. And to answer something, yes , i do open doors for hot chicks. I put it in the title to attract your eye. But some chicks I make open the door when I am dropping them off and I don't need to get out of the car. But if I like you I will open and close your door. __________________ custom dual exhaust,M3 front and rear bumper, 10.4 inch roof mount drop screen, Viper alarm system, DSII's rims, M3 Vader Seats, M3 Mirrors, Carbon Fiber CAI, Smoked Corners, Side Markers, Leatherz armrests, black grilles 225k miles and still the Ti goes on | | | 05-08-2008, 12:49 AM | #32 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: SW Florida Posts: 4,275 | Mallard...dude, you are the Champ! i look forward to reading everything you type. the star wars...(or was it star track?) reference is priceless! i hate having anyone in my car...except my buddy who always rests his arm on the lock...he's a killer co-pilot of death. i don't let anyone touch my radio....period. i don't like people getting comfortable in the passenger seat...so i tell them not to touch the handles on the side....it's set how i like it. the only people i have had in the back are forced to sit sideways....because the front seats are all of the way back....period. and, i vacuum my car twice (some times three) times per week...knock your shoes off prior to getting in! i just want to be left alone in my car.....so don't talk.....i'm driving....and trying to listen to some Metallica! __________________ Sean 1995 Active | | | 05-08-2008, 01:05 AM | #33 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | well, I'm going to have my prom date in the car for a little while so I can figure out where her house is, I'll vote when I see what happens +1 on people who adjust the seat, and they always slam it back into the stops when they do it too, one of my friends crushed the mcgyver-style bong (made from an empty water bottle, tin foil, electrical tape and a straw) that I had hidden under the seat | | | 05-08-2008, 01:08 AM | #34 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: SW Florida Posts: 4,275 | bummer...so what did you use next mcgyver? an apple? __________________ Sean 1995 Active | | | 05-08-2008, 01:18 AM | #35 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | that's actually a really good idea, I've done it before, it makes the smoke taste like an apple | | | 05-08-2008, 02:06 AM | #36 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: Memphis, Tn Posts: 1,299 | ever tried a banana??? or perhaps a gravity bong? __________________ custom dual exhaust,M3 front and rear bumper, 10.4 inch roof mount drop screen, Viper alarm system, DSII's rims, M3 Vader Seats, M3 Mirrors, Carbon Fiber CAI, Smoked Corners, Side Markers, Leatherz armrests, black grilles 225k miles and still the Ti goes on | | | 05-08-2008, 03:48 AM | #37 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2008 Location: Omaha, NE Posts: 737 | Quote: Originally Posted by Mallard things i hate about having "passengers" in my car.. *snip* | I read that while at work. It takes a little effort to shut it, not a slam, but you have to want it. This is just on the passenger side i think. People always lazily shut my door (the ones that arent slammers) and it goes until it latches but doesnt shut. Of course all passengers are super slow getting out of my car and i've already shut and locked my door. So they cant open the door to shut it again... here's the kicker, they start banging on the door with their hip trying to shut it! I'm like NO! WAIT! let me unlock it! It was hard enough finding that replacement door! And theyre just like "naww im not gonna dent it." I've gotten into the habit of waiting for them before i shut my door (its the pressure that builds up inside the car that makes it hard to shut). Windows are priceless, i never tell them and let them look forever. Or i put it down and theyre left with a dumb look on their face wondering how i did that. I tell them its magic. People are usually ok about the door handle, unless its locked. But i can safely say i was victim to that a few times in my buddy's MINI. And not one person ever has had enough sense to put the seat forward properly! They always see the lever on teh side that has an up arrow and think oh that'll do it! End up shooting the chair into the ceiling and then wonder why theyre so high up when they get in the car! Basically my car is a "No, no, let me do it" experience. Theyre just gonna jack it up anyway.. american car drivers.. humph __________________ 1997 318ti Schwarz II FB | | | 05-08-2008, 03:45 PM | #40 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: Waco/Austin, TX Posts: 233 | oh and p.s. I have to agree with most of the statements. What about those people that love to leave fingerprints everywhere when they know you just waxed and detailed the interior of the bimmer. Pauly you should use the tail pipe next time. You won't have any problem with the cop finding illegal things inside the car. | | | 05-09-2008, 06:53 AM | #42 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Land of the Vikings Posts: 2,700 | thank YOU guys, you´ve been a wonderfull audience __________________ Vin Number decode and Retrofit Pdfs Available Free ! Stuff I run into often -People trying to open the rear doors, oh wait there are none. -How do I roll down the window? -People locking the door with their arm and wondering what they just did. -Not knowing how to move the seat forward, so they can squeeze into the back.. I'm sure there's more. __________________ BMWCCA #403399 2012 Mini Cooper S Clubman, 6-Speed Loaded 2001 325xi, Winter Package, 5-Speed Traded 1998 318ti, Active, Automatic, TOTAL LOSS R.I.P. 10/20/08 Bilstein Sport Shocks/Struts .
