I don't think engines run very well without them due to the loss is backpressure. | | | 09-30-2009, 03:11 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2009 Location: Baltimore, MD Posts: 130 | oooh i c. i think so to since i see no coolant any where nor any milky oil. i shoulda known this was gonna happen soon since it kept seemin like my exhaust was gettin louder n louder n more ratteling under the car. | | | 09-30-2009, 03:19 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2007 Location: Rocky Hill, CT Posts: 1,065 | Slow down and post more comprehensible sentences please. Could be that I've been staring at Thermo for the last 4 hours It does sound like the exhaust, and I'd guess the added noise is making it sound like you should be going faster than you really should be. __________________ 1995 318TI base. 95 2.5L from 325IS. You could just replace the midpipe and be fine most likely. Was it rusting there and broke or does it look like pressure built up and it broke? Also, clubsports were only made in 1995. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 09-30-2009, 08:37 PM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2009 Location: Baltimore, MD Posts: 130 | well, i am gonna say a lil bit from column A and a lil bit from column B. lol, naw, i am gonna assume it was the rusting but u present me with something else to check for. during initial inspection it looks like rust but i havent jacked it up to take a closer look either so there is that possibility. and i didnt know club sports were only made in 95'. someone told me mine was a club sport. either that i kinda got that from when i was looking up tires for it. if u look at tirerack.com they have two options, the OE 15" rims or clubsport 16" rims. since i have the 16" rims i thought i had a clubsport. either way, i do know i have the m-tech package. | | | 10-01-2009, 12:22 AM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: 43609 Posts: 3,425 | I have my exhaust listed at 150$+shipping. If your exhaust is not rotted through, go to a muffler shop and have new hardware installed. __________________ 1995 Hellrot Clubsport 318ti -Gone 1996 Schwartz II Sport 357ti - 5.7L V8 LS1/6 1997 Moregrun Metallic 318ti - Gone 1998 Schwartz II sport 318ti - M50TUB25/5 | | | 10-02-2009, 07:53 PM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2009 Location: Baltimore, MD Posts: 130 | thankz.....i will check it out further this weekend and maybe take it to a mufflers shop on monday. i will see how that works. i still wanted to know about muffler and cat brands though. does anyone have any experience with the diff ones out there? | | | 10-02-2009, 08:36 PM | #14 | That's not Millpoint Blue Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: BNA Posts: 3,161 | Quote: Originally Posted by MyTi82 i still wanted to know about muffler and cat brands though. does anyone have any experience with the diff ones out there? | (begin sarcasm) I'm pretty sure that this question has never been asked here before, and it's surely never been answered. So, there's obviously no point in SEARCHing the site. (end sarcasm) __________________ Real men know how to SEARCH!
