Default did some damage

okay, so i really needed new tires for awhile. the tires i have do not work well in the rain or snow. anyway, i was going to school, i skid sideways off the road, and hit a 4 inch high curb at about 30 mph..

well, if u cant figure out what might have happened, my right wheel is pushed back about 3 inchs. the control arm is bent like a U and the strut is bent (i think, at least under the hood, it isnt attached straight anymore)

anyway, i hit a tree while all this was happening , 0 damage to my car, alittle damage to the tree.. that is atleast one thing nice about bmws, i hit a few things with my car, and no damage.. anyway, i did kinda wreck my lower front bumper, but it was damaged awhile ago form somethign else.. now its kinda hanging there.

i was looking around alittle just now (im still at school waiting for AAA to tow my car) but i wanted to know if you guys know any places online that have aftermarket or oem front lower bumpers for a nice price. the inspection is friday, so they will probably work on it later, so for now, they can remove it, but i would like something nice to replace it.

also, anything else i should be worried about damaging since this happened. wheels seem fine, but i woudlnt be surprised if i bent the rim. (it was a direct hit for that wheel. my wheel, vs the 4 inch high curb)

any tips would be great. =] im so mad at these old tires. there is 60% tread left, but bald tires would work better... they are like capital n5000 tires, and no one even sells them, the people that do want like $40 each for the tires.. =/ the cheap ass before who had my car didnt buy anything that worked well.

damn that sucks. especially the part where the strut tower is messed up. I'm not sure if that could be considered frame damage since a "fixed" part of your suspension was bent. good luck fixing it.

if you plan on keeping the car it may affect the alignment. It can be fixed but it may be pricey.

*sigh* as long as it passes inspection, and gets me from home - work - school, i wont care.. its going for inspection this Friday, they will love to know they get to fix a smashed-in wheel. haha..

i was alittle worried about the power steering, but there doesn't seem to be leakage or anything really bent.. i think i bent the bar that gives everything structure (i forget the name, it connects the 2 wheels, but it doesn't steer them and its not the arm) it looks major bent.. so hopefully its not to bad, or not to expensive. (this is all getting done by a professional... haha.. im not touching it)

now, about the front bumper.. im guessing i should rip it off and forget about it for a month till i know everything is working alright..

do you mean the rack and pinion? I'm sure finding one of those should be easy and cheap. Bumper is an easy fix IMO.

DDM has the M3 bumpers for $100, but even that might be a little pricey considering you may have a lot of repairs to do, obviously, driving with the bumper completely off won't harm anything, so if you can't patch it together that's another option

ooo.. thats not bad, $100 ..

well, with combined parts and labor for the next week, i will probally be looking at $1500 now for everything. (tires, cat, brakes, everything that i needa by, +labor) that isnt bad, i have enough to pay for it.. but what sucks is i am going to china for 2 weeks, ande i am leaving on the 20th this month.. and, i need atleast $500 for spending money.. i have... $0 for cash now.. so i needa borrow =/ i can make it back pretty quick, but its jsut that it kinda all sucks now that eveything is happening at once..

atleast it pays to have a credit card that gives me 1% rewards .. both cards are maxed out till i figure out how much money i needa borrow for china, and pay back the cards.

That China trip might be the trip of a lifetime, unless it's for business.

The car can wait - spend your dough on the trip.

VERY AWESOME. like i said, i wanna see the extent of the damage, but if the price to fix my car is affordable, i will def come to you for the bumper. just give me until after the 6th to see whats up with my car, and when i can get some cash together.

does the m3 bumpers fit without a problem?

will the air ducts from the old one fit, or will i need to get new ones.. or just forget it all.

i needa replease everything on the right side behind the bumper, so should i buy all m3 ducts and what not, or should i buy the original stuff.
