3.45 is the correct ratio, if shipping wasn't such a bear to the northeast I'd grab it.

so I have a 318 ti auto and a 318i manual can I just swap the front drive shaft to put the 5 speed in my car ?

No, you need the brake/clutch pedal assembly, fluid line to the master cylinder mounted on clutch pedal, hard line going down to tranny. Soft line and slave cylinder at tranny. Front section of driveshaft shaft because tranny is shorter. Then you need to swap out the rear end and a regular e36 318i rear end won't fit your gearing will be different. Also have to wire up neutral safety to a clutch switch and run reverse wire out to engine harness cuz reverse is in the tranny not the shifter now.

I've done this swap about 5 years ago when I was 17/18.

Only part you don't have is a 3.45 small case open rear end differential from a ti. I threw one of these in a dumpster two weeks ago just because I got tired of looking at it sit.
