Hi Greg, The Auto prolly has something to do with it. The effort to swap it perhaps is not reflected in the pricing for someone wanting to go that route.
For someone that wants an auto, it is a clean ride.
Prices will vary, here's my reference points:
The last two auto TIs I picked up were below $1400 each, but not in as maintained shape as yours, but for >$1600, will be in nice, clean running order with straight bodies. A third TI 95 Sport manual was had for $1300, but needed about $1k in parts.
I paid $4k for my 97 Sport Manual in very clean shape. I eventually blew the motor, but it was all good when I bought it.
$4.8 for my 98 Sport Manual Cali. The Cali needed >$300 of minor work, but was Dinan chipped, Supersprint, Contours with new tires, M3 twisties, just about every factory option, Dice iPhone integration and had solid documentation from the day it left the factory.
What I appreciate about your car is that it seems to have been maintained and modded tastefully. Folks interested should consider that this is labor they wont have to invest in from the start and can be thinking forward of what they may want.
The labor is easily worth $1k plus maintenance parts someone wont have to worry about up front.
GLWTS! Nice garage! I bet the house is nice too... Rich
