Posts: 53 | H&R Sport Springs or Race Springs? I just bought Bilstein Sport shocks and I don't know if I want the H&R Sports or Race springs. I am a monthly autocrosser and I live in MA. If i get the race springs will I have too much camber? | | | 07-02-2010, 02:14 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | I have that same setup, my rear alignment is pretty messed up, cambers not terrible but I do have quite a bit of toe-in on the back, no problems with it so far but it will wear tires prematurely | | | 07-06-2010, 01:18 PM | #3 | Member Join Date: Oct 2008 Location: Mass. Posts: 53 | Sorry it took so long for me to respond... 4th weekend. I'm thinking i'm going to get that set up, is there anything i can do about the camber or toe? Or do i just have to live with it? | | | 07-06-2010, 05:26 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2009 Location: MD/PA/DC Posts: 1,629 | There are offset bushings and a kit to put adjustable mounts on the rear subframe. You have to cut up the subframe to do the latter. __________________ No more ti. | | | 07-06-2010, 05:39 PM | #5 | Member Join Date: Oct 2008 Location: Mass. Posts: 53 | Really? Thank you I will look those up. Are you talking about rear trailing arm offsets? I have offsets up front and i didn't know that they made them for the rear. | | | 07-06-2010, 06:10 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | Quote: Originally Posted by dylanreid16 Really? I remember reading that one of the two, toe or camber, couldn't be adjusted all that much with the weld on kit. Also, I don't recommend bilsteins on our tis, they don't seem to be valved properly and if I could I'd go with Koni adjustables. TC Kline has a koni street kit that is pretty fairly priced. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 07-06-2010, 07:12 PM | #8 | Member Join Date: Oct 2008 Location: Mass.
