Default Chip Installed Now No Start 95 Club Sport

Hi guys, I recently got a Midnight chip for my Club Sport looking to get a little more power. Unfortunately to be honest the first time I put the chip in backwards into the ecu. I fixed this and tried to fire up the car. My car would not start with the new chip or with the oem chip.

Thinking that I fried my ECU I ordered a used one off eBay and still the same issue. The car turns over but will not fire up. The new chip is supposed to disable the ESW but do I still need to get it programmed? Other ideas? I have been without my Club Sport for over a month. I miss my car.... Please help.

Have you made sure you have fuel and spark? I'd check that first.

I dont believe that the fuel pump is coming on as I do not hear it when you turn the key. Normally it will come on for a second. I checked bot the flue pump fuse and relay and they are fine. That's why I believe this is EWS related.

I could be wrong, but if I remember correctly, EWS wouldn't allow the car to crank over if it weren't aligned with the key. Pretty easy to re-align with INPA if you have it.

Just an update: I finally ended up taking my car into a BMW shop and after weeks of chasing down the issue(and a very large repair bill) it turned out to be an issue with the EWS.

Car now starts up and works like new!
