Hello, all, my name is Austin. Just picked up my first BMW back in August, a red 1995 318ti with a 5 speed and 164,XXX on the clock. So far as I can tell, it was pretty much bottom of the line basic when it was new, so no sunroof, cloth seats [which I prefer anyway], solid front rotors, no fog lights, steel wheels with chintzy plastic covers, etc., etc. - so far as I can work out, the only option on it is the limited slip diff, and the previous owner installed a set of H&R Sport springs. I've since thrown a set of fogs at it, and installed LED dome/exterior lights and ZxE headlights, replaced the shredded vinyl shift/brake boots with nice new leather ones, acquired a parcel shelf [which the car was missing], generally cleaned up the interior a bit, put a set of Blizzaks on the steelies for the impending Chicago snowpocalypse, and replaced all the brakes with uprated ceramic pads and vented rotors. I know virtually nothing about this car, and have been pestering Earl on Facebook with every question I've had since I bought it haha.
Currently having what I suspect to be an IACV issue, and the power steering pump is on its way out, but the car gets decent mileage and does what I ask of it, for the most part.
