I am trying to get a DASC kit from a car and the seller wants me to provide the replacement parts so that the engine still functions. Thanks in advance guys! __________________ 2LT Rodriguez CA ARNG TURBO 96' Sport, Alaska Blue, Auto Custom JohnBoy Turbo, Midnight-Tunning Software, HKS BOV, e-Pod Gauge Pod, BavAuto Springs, Bilstein Sport, e30 3.73 LSD, Depo P36, Apexcone 55w HID, OEM Spoiler, M3 Lip, M3 Mesh Grill, Crossdrilled Rear Rotors, M3 Front Brakes, Sparco 3 point Harness, Euro M3 Wheel, K&N cone, Clear Corner/Sides/Tails, M3 Center Console & Arm-rest, M3 Red Cluster Needles, M3 Mirrors & Side Skirts, RD Exhaust, DS-1 wheels!... | | | 05-31-2009, 11:07 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | You could probably give downing atlanta a call tomorrow when they open, I'm sure they could tell you what parts the M42 version replaced. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 05-31-2009, 11:20 PM | #3 | Member Join Date: Oct 2008 Location: Fairfield, CA Posts: 93 | You could buy my M44 parts. I would buy them back if they don't fit. I would think the parts changed out would be the air box, intake manifold, possibly the throttle body and some other intake parts. Or you could buy the whole car and go through my parts and see what you need, then sell the car again. "that they would cause headaches you don't want"... and I still would need a new Pulley for the M44 (they're different), different belt, and a new tensioner as well.... He told me I'm better off keeping my parts for the future... He also mentioned that they will be getting into the Supercharger business pretty soon... This might mean that the DASC kit might be resurrected pretty soon guys!... just that the price might drive some away from it... Since not everyone can afford a SC kit that is almost as expensive as the car it is going to be on!... __________________ 2LT Rodriguez CA ARNG TURBO 96' Sport, Alaska Blue, Auto Custom JohnBoy Turbo, Midnight-Tunning Software, HKS BOV, e-Pod Gauge Pod, BavAuto Springs, Bilstein Sport, e30 3.73 LSD, Depo P36, Apexcone 55w HID, OEM Spoiler, M3 Lip, M3 Mesh Grill, Crossdrilled Rear Rotors, M3 Front Brakes, Sparco 3 point Harness, Euro M3 Wheel, K&N cone, Clear Corner/Sides/Tails, M3 Center Console & Arm-rest, M3 Red Cluster Needles, M3 Mirrors & Side Skirts, RD Exhaust, DS-1 wheels!... | | | 06-02-2009, 04:47 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2009 Location: new york Posts: 511 | So does that mean your not taking that one? | | | 06-02-2009, 04:59 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2008 Location: Central Florida Posts: 678 | Quote: Originally Posted by 1996 318ti NY So does that mean your not taking that one? | It means I will take it as is, no parts exchange, if it is still available when I get back this weekend.
