Why do you say that, what problems are you experiencing?

Default Transmission/module

It had a problem shifting this past Wednesday - the day I just got it inspected. It has always shifted at a higher RPM like most 318tis, but this time it seemed unusual. It got to about 3 or 4 and didn't shift. I parked it for a day and I've driven it since then on the highway and small town roads and it hasn't happened again. It still shifts at a higher RPM like normal and other 318tis. No warning lights have come on. My father and I were going to change the transmission fluid, but because BMW makes it difficult for you to, we decided not to, in addition to living in an area that doesn't carry any parts or service my car. We've never changed it before so it's probably a good idea to get it changed and have the module checked. My dad owned a 91 3 series and it ran for over 200,000 with the same services needed in addition to a new water pump.

Default More pictures (totaled?)

April 2005 pictures. It was drivable, but I wasn't trusting it to drive I wanted it back to perfect condition! I had it towed to a local BMW dealership and then my insurance claimed it totaled that year - 2005. We had bought it back from insurance and had it reconstructed. It has an R title in the state of PA.

Default More pics from total?

More April 2005 pictures - I wanted to add these as well. Notice in the one where the bulb is not even broken but the outside of the light is!!!! I was proud that my car stood up to the awful car that hit it -- sorry, it was a POS Honda.

Default more pics

August 2007 - more pictures... if the seats look wet it's because they were just shampooed! there are ZERO stains, rips, marks, etc. on the seats!!!! The floor mats are the same -- there is a tiny bit wear on the driver's one, but over all they are in great condition for being 12 years YOUNG!!!!

I have to say that you seem totally upfront about past issues with the car, which a lot of people won't do. The car looks very clean, and seems a steal at $3k, if that tranny issue is nothing major.

Default thanks

i believe that being honest is the best policy.... a person is more likely to buy it if i am honest. and yes, it is a steal at $3,000 but i thought because of the R title makes the value different, etc. when i got it in 2002, it was about $9,000... the wheels alone are worth the majority of the price!!!!

And I will admit I will be sad to see it go... after logging on to this site and seeing all the amazing 318tis out there, I will be quiet jealous. I def. don't have the time or EXPERIENCE to modify a car like most people on here -- in addition to the finances!!!

I would be so interested in buying it if it was closer to me.
