The process where you hold in the odometer button to re-program it. I just got J!m's manual and It lists the procedure but it's kinda sketchy. Just wanted to know if it is a decent way to go. __________________ 1998 318ti active, 5spd. Black leather with Titansilber metallic paint. Trying to consume liquefied hops every second of every day. I'm not sure if code plugs are removable or swappable between clusters from a 4cyl and 6cyl. On ebay, 6cyl clusters are going for ~$50 shipped so it's not too heavy an investment. | | | 06-25-2008, 03:28 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2008 Location: FEASTERVILLE,PA Posts: 101 | You really can't? Wow I'm glad I asked. Do you have J!m's manual, he doesn't personally verify it being done but states that someone else has through the diagnostic program in the cluster. Which seems like it could be golden but who really knows, lol. Maybe I'll try it out. I'll guinea pig it up for sake of cheapness. __________________ 1998 318ti active, 5spd. My donor car should have all the parts I need (Assuming everything in the new cluster works....). | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
