I'm considering purchasing an M Tech three spoke Steering wheel (no airbag). I think it was standard in E30 M3s.
Just wondering if anyone knows that it will acually fit.

I think that they actually came standard on some really late model 318tis. You you certainly could get one of those, but I don't know if an E30 M3 one would fit. lol ... you ain't never seen that site before? i use it all the time (and my bmw dealer thanks me for it, i'm sure)  i bid on a very nice 3 spoke steering wheel from japan on ebay, but i lost. i wasn't willing to pay almost $400 with airbag to get it. i'd rather have a set of H&R sway bars i guess  __________________ 1996 318ti, California package, 267k miles

The M Tech 3-spoke steering wheel is on 1999 318ti Sports model (1999 year only had Sports model). My 1998 ti is still a 4-spoke steering. My car buddy has a 1999 ti and I drove it for a while. I like the bulky grip on the upper portion of the steering wheel, give me more confidence during turn-in around the corner. I also like the ///M decal on the lower part of the steering wheel. However, the center air bag looks too bulky. __________________

non-airbag or airbag? i don't want to lose my airbag (insurance issue - if i were to get into an accident and my car is supposed to be airbag equipped and it's not ... you get the idea). if it is airbag equipped, i'd be interested  __________________ 1996 318ti, California package, 267k miles
