I think it was standard in E30 M3s. Just wondering if anyone knows that it will acually fit. Thanks. __________________ It's always a great day to be underwater and play with the fish.....preserve our oceans and reefs" Fariz 1997 318ti, Hellrot (Bright Red), Dinan Stage 2 Chip 16x7 OEM sport Wheels/X-Brace/Custom Strut Brace/Cold Air Intake/M-Tec Steering Wheel/Koni Adjustable FrontShocks/ Bilstein Sport Rear Shocks /H&R Sport Springs/Custom fabricated strut tower brace/Rear Strut brace, Stromung Exhaust Future Mods: E46 17" wheels or Kosei K-1 17x8.5s | | | 09-01-2005, 06:32 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Minneapolis Posts: 1,587 | I think that they actually came standard on some really late model 318tis. You you certainly could get one of those, but I don't know if an E30 M3 one would fit. Here's the 318ti one. http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...32&hg=32&fg=35 | | | 10-14-2005, 01:45 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2005 Location: Los Angeles Posts: 190 | that is a frikin great site!! helps out a ton on other things __________________ BMW 318ti M Body Kit, Future M3 engine swap My 318ti | | | 10-14-2005, 04:22 AM | #4 | aka Stabby Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Mead, CO Posts: 5,336 | lol ... you ain't never seen that site before? i use it all the time (and my bmw dealer thanks me for it, i'm sure) i bid on a very nice 3 spoke steering wheel from japan on ebay, but i lost. i wasn't willing to pay almost $400 with airbag to get it. i'd rather have a set of H&R sway bars i guess __________________ 1996 318ti, California package, 267k miles current mods: bilstein sports, bavauto springs, e30 m3 LCABs, solid metal ball joints, bavauto RSMs w/reinforcements, e30 3.73 LSD & halfshafts, supersprint cat-back exhaust, turner rear sway bar reinforcements, IE poly subframe & RTABs + camber/toe kits, powdercoated e36 32x front calipers, sport mirrors, H&R 28mmF/19mmR sway bars, x-brace, auto solutions SSK w/poly bushing upgrade, BMW CD43 head unit, DICE HD Radio w/iPod integration and "stealth" HD antenna, staggered style 68s, orange electronic TPMS, leather arm rest, JT Designs metal undertray acquired and awaiting install: heated seat kit, cali top switch relo, lumbar support kit, park distance control kit, heated washer nozzle kit, m-coupe rear subframe, trailing arms, differential, and halfshafts, m-coupe front/rear brakes with master cylinder, under hood light kit, mud flaps, rear sun blind, auto-dimming rear view mirror, tilt steering wheel retrofit, apexcone 5000K HIDs with 55W ballasts 2002 X5 4.4 Sport Package, 53.5k miles Current Mods: e46 m3 steering wheel | | | 10-14-2005, 04:44 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2005 Location: Boston MA Posts: 221 | The M Tech 3-spoke steering wheel is on 1999 318ti Sports model (1999 year only had Sports model). My 1998 ti is still a 4-spoke steering. My car buddy has a 1999 ti and I drove it for a while. I like the bulky grip on the upper portion of the steering wheel, give me more confidence during turn-in around the corner. I also like the ///M decal on the lower part of the steering wheel. However, the center air bag looks too bulky. __________________ 1998 BMW 318ti M-Tech Sport Silver (Gone to member leeko617) CURRENT: 2015 BMW X1, 2004 BMW 330ci Convertible, 1998 Porsche Boxster, 2001 BMW 525i Touring GONE: 2000 Audi A4, 2002 VW Passat, 1985 VW Cabriolet | | | 10-14-2005, 05:01 PM | #6 | aka Stabby Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Mead, CO Posts: 5,336 | __________________ 1996 318ti, California package, 267k miles current mods: bilstein sports, bavauto springs, e30 m3 LCABs, solid metal ball joints, bavauto RSMs w/reinforcements, e30 3.73 LSD & halfshafts, supersprint cat-back exhaust, turner rear sway bar reinforcements, IE poly subframe & RTABs + camber/toe kits, powdercoated e36 32x front calipers, sport mirrors, H&R 28mmF/19mmR sway bars, x-brace, auto solutions SSK w/poly bushing upgrade, BMW CD43 head unit, DICE HD Radio w/iPod integration and "stealth" HD antenna, staggered style 68s, orange electronic TPMS, leather arm rest, JT Designs metal undertray acquired and awaiting install: heated seat kit, cali top switch relo, lumbar support kit, park distance control kit, heated washer nozzle kit, m-coupe rear subframe, trailing arms, differential, and halfshafts, m-coupe front/rear brakes with master cylinder, under hood light kit, mud flaps, rear sun blind, auto-dimming rear view mirror, tilt steering wheel retrofit, apexcone 5000K HIDs with 55W ballasts 2002 X5 4.4 Sport Package, 53.5k miles Current Mods: e46 m3 steering wheel | | | 10-14-2005, 05:08 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2004 Location: Port St. Johns, Florida Posts: 2,242 | Panzer had one on his 1997 which is now selling for 215 shipped. | | | 10-14-2005, 05:08 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2004 Location: Port St. Johns, Florida Posts: 2,242 | | | | 10-14-2005, 05:10 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2004 Location: Port St. Johns, Florida Posts: 2,242 | Quote: Originally Posted by cali-ti | you paid almost 400 for that one? wow I need to get a half dozen shipped over for some cash.. | | | 10-14-2005, 05:10 PM | #10 | aka Stabby Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Mead, CO Posts: 5,336 | non-airbag or airbag? i don't want to lose my airbag (insurance issue - if i were to get into an accident and my car is supposed to be airbag equipped and it's not ... you get the idea). if it is airbag equipped, i'd be interested __________________ 1996 318ti, California package, 267k miles current mods: bilstein sports, bavauto springs, e30 m3 LCABs, solid metal ball joints, bavauto RSMs w/reinforcements, e30 3.73 LSD & halfshafts, supersprint cat-back exhaust, turner rear sway bar reinforcements, IE poly subframe & RTABs + camber/toe kits, powdercoated e36 32x front calipers, sport mirrors, H&R 28mmF/19mmR sway bars, x-brace, auto solutions SSK w/poly bushing upgrade, BMW CD43 head unit, DICE HD Radio w/iPod integration and "stealth" HD antenna, staggered style 68s, orange electronic TPMS, leather arm rest, JT Designs metal undertray acquired and awaiting install: heated seat kit, cali top switch relo, lumbar support kit, park distance control kit, heated washer nozzle kit, m-coupe rear subframe, trailing arms, differential, and halfshafts, m-coupe front/rear brakes with master cylinder, under hood light kit, mud flaps, rear sun blind, auto-dimming rear view mirror, tilt steering wheel retrofit, apexcone 5000K HIDs with 55W ballasts 2002 X5 4.4 Sport Package, 53.5k miles Current Mods: e46 m3 steering wheel | | | 10-14-2005, 05:11 PM | #11 | aka Stabby Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Mead, CO Posts: 5,336 | LOL ...
