Smile e46 m3 fender vents

anyone mod their ti with the m3 fender vents.... I see you can pick up the vents for under $50. just looking for some inspiration before cutting into my fenders.

yea, i agree with the bumpers. I am thinking of getting a 02 330ci and compared with the m3 of that same body style the vents make it look alot better. but right now I am just looking at doing cheap mods to the ti. i went ahead and just ordered the m3 vents so maybe next weekend I get them in.

I seen that they sell some vents that just stick on with 3m tape. but I couldnt find any that had the m3 logo.

They don't look good imo. These z3 style look so much better!

And they are actual fenders vents that do serve a purpose. It's not some add on.

at first I thought they were the stick on ones from pep-boys. but then I seen he really did cut out the fender to put in those vents. that car is chromed out.... yea i am not going for that type of look. more sportier. .. those fenders are really nice, more then what i want to spend. if i really screw up bad making vent holes i might have to get those.. haha.

DUDE ARE YOU SERIOUS?
The only E46 mods for the ti that you should be thinking would be engine/tranny swap!... M3 Fender Vents on a ti is the most horrible thing you can do... There are many other inexpensive mods out there for the car than those vents... Z3 vents belong on Z3's and the same goes for E46 M3 vents!
Think about Clear corners, sides, Euro clear tails, Grills, brakes, HID's... the list can go on and on on relatively inexpansive mods to make your car look beeter and sportier than slapping on freaking fake vents...
My $.02
It's your car and you do with it what you will...

Tell us how you really feel Yoda...

Seriously think about it... they really do not belong on an E36.. even less so on a Ti. We are already kind of the black sheep of the BMW family, lets not give them any more reasons to hate on us

hey now. i love mine !! thinking about painting mine to match the car to blend it in.

the other reason why i love mine is b/c no 1 else has them and that what makes my ti different from the normal. no side blinkers and vents !

still about to put a white or green led behind them so you can see the light threw the vent

I'm not a fan of them, but I don't think they would look that bad if you get them in black so they don't stick out

terrible idea yoda hit the nail on the head
this is why Ti's get hate
vents belong on e46's more specifically e46 m3's which Ti's are definitely not. Its almost as bad as sticking an m3 badge on your trunk..err hatch

I have them as well so I guess that makes two of us!!

You can see what they look like in my car, they sell them in chrome so we (Socal 318ti) painted them black: http://www.318ti.org/forum/showthrea...522#post184522

I'm curious to know.... What does everyone think about these vents? http://www.octanemotorsports.com/BMW...duct_info.html

I'm really liking them. But not sure if it's on the rice side or not. z3's usually have a molding around them. But these don't. I might just edit my current fenders instead of buying new ones and painting them.

Here's the deal with Z3 and M3 fender vents...
They have been played out by all the F&F wannabe's out there with their civics and accords that have freaking BMW Z3 FENDER VENTS or E46 M3 FENDER VENTS...
why would you want to be one of them in doing such a thing to your BMW???...
IMO
if you want Z3 vents...get a freaking Z3! or if you want E46 M3 vents... get an e46 and swap the whole front end to look like an M3!...or get an e46 M3... I know for sure that there are already JDM vehicles out there with e92 M3 fender vents already as well!.... you want those too?

Come on guys...
