Default fith gear feels like fourth! Is this normal??

Hello everyone: I am happy to be a part of this Ti place.
I just bought a beautiful Black 318 ti 97. The car runs and feels great but when in fith gear I feel like its in fourth. Can anyone help please?? Thanks!!

i think you'll need to explain that a little more. how does fifth feel like fourth? in terms of what?

It's the gearing. You can change the diff out if you want, but that's kinda silly. Get used to it, or slow down.

On the highway, with stock gears, the needles should point straight up at the same time. (80mph = 3750ish)

If you are used to american cars our 5th would have been their 4th. The on 318tis 5th is 1:1

What I mean is that when i'm on the freeway going about 70 mh in fith gear, I feel like the rpms are high and its almost like it needs a sixth gear. Thanks!!
