Default Photo Shoot tonight!!!!

YO yo guys what's up. Me and my buddy drove around town looking for cool places to take some night shots at, and here are the results.

It was funny...on the shots with the parking garage and such, we almost got arrested/guns pulled on us. We were over on part of NC State's campus, and apparently we were on top of a parking deck that belonged to some federal office. Someone in the office building saw us with a flash light (cell phone) and thought we were looking in cars and about to break into them. Me and my boy were taking a shot, and all of a sudden a police officer came around the corner...hand on gun ready to pull it out. Another officer slammed through a door to the other side, another one came from behind, and another one came from the floor beneath us. We were freaked out, as 4 cops pop out of no where yelling at us with hands on guns, and we were like whoa now we are just taking some pictures with the lit up buildings in the background.

They started 'interrogating' us...What are you here for, on federal property? (taking pictures of my car) Why are you taking pictures of you car (trying to find good shots to submit for a calendar for a website) Is that really your car? (yes) Why did you chose this buidling (we were driving buy, saw a bunch of tall lit up buildings, and thought it would make a cool background) Why did you have a flash light? (It was a cell phone, we were using it to make cool designs in the picture with a slow shutter speed)

The entire time, the 4 officers had their hands on their gun ready to pop the sucker out. Finally they let us pack up and leave...and they had about 8 cop cars with more officers blocking off EVERY possible exit to the parking garage.

Anyway, it is what you have to sacrifice for cool pictures.

Now, which ones do you guys like the best for a calendar picture? I can't quite decide, but I think I like the one with the electrical station in the background glowing purple/blue. Funny thing is, it really had purple lights making the whole thing glow. We were going to get a shot from above in the neighboring parking garage (public, non federal property), but we walked up the stairs, and there was a couple having sex in their car so we peaced out lol.

Also, if you notice on one of the parking garage pictures, we wrote '318ti.org' with the cell phone. That was not added in with photo shop or anything...32 second shutter speed, and writing it and covering it up with your hand at stragetic places make a cool light trail that can spell things.

Good thing the couple didn't choose the federal garage.

Great pictures. I especially liked the power plant shot. That one is a shoe-in for my vote on the 2007 calendar. Thanks for sharing.

Thumbs up cool electricity

Got to go with "cool electricity" as well. Like the result you got using the cell phone too, but with so many Photo Shop effects out there, you lose the impact of your method. Don't listen to the advise about strait wheels in photos. Unless it is a strait side-on shot, that usually looks lame.

I was referring to this shot:

I think it looks nicer when you can see the wheels and tires, not just the tire tread. Just my opinion.

yeah, that was one of the first shots we took and was just playing around with it and not sure what to do...it was also where police burst in from every angle, lol

the ones with the cool cell phone lights made a nice effect...and it looks cool, but like sonmeone said, it can easily be done with photoshop...but we were just messing around and having some fun...seeing how it would end up.

as for the sex pictures...i told my friend he should have snapped a shot real fast, but after that we decided to call it a night and watch some jack bauer on '24' dvds
