Default 99 318ti M44 - Rough Idle

Thanks for reading

My 1999 M44 was idleing rough the other day.
So I started to investigate. thinking it was the crankcase valve
Pop the hood and noticed the dipstick was not seated.
Hmmm....not like me to not seat the dipstick - but i guess it could happen...

Engine smoothed right out. Perfect.

Question is - is this normal? No other car I have ever tried this with
does not react this way.

Or do i have an issue with crankcase valve ?

Thanks all
Peter

sounds fine to me, also try taking off your oil cap and you should get the same result.
