Okay i got the a call from the dealer. I need a new sensor and a new cat as well. I'm looking at $255 for the sensor and $1000+ for the cat. Okay let me get some things straight. Should i get the sensor replaced at the dealer or should i do it myself. I believe i can do the cat myself right? Also if there is anyone selling a used cat let me know since im not going to pay $1000 for a new cat. | | | 09-22-2008, 10:36 PM | #2 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | http://ventura.craigslist.org/pts/843738530.html I'm selling mine with the sensors. The sensors are Bosch OEM and have less than 10k miles on them. Also posted this in the OT thread. __________________ 4 MORE YEARS BABY!!! | | | 09-26-2008, 01:56 PM | #3 | Member Join Date: Jun 2008 Location: Parkersburg, W.V. Either way, you could simply plug the post cat hole with a bolt, but from the looks of his car it's a '97 or '98 since it has the newer sidemarkers and grilles. __________________ 4 MORE YEARS BABY!!! | | | 09-26-2008, 06:40 PM | #7 | Member Join Date: Jun 2008 Location: Parkersburg, W.V. The PO owner said he basically didn't much since he bought it from his father. I have all the receipts of the repairs done to the Ti. I also have the originally sticker price from the dealer that was put on the window when it was new. Yes i have a m44 and my Ti is a 98, great guess Jess. Car feels a little sluggish or its just me being paranoid. I also have to go back to the dealer since i found oil in one of spark plugs. This is after i got new a new valve gaskette installed at the dealer. I also got a weird message from the dealer that my part has arrived and i need to take my car to get my windshield replaced and get the full detail that i requested. WTF i didn't ask for any of that gotta call tomorrow see whats up. | | | 09-27-2008, 05:20 AM | #11 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | Cool Dave, it's on it's way. DHL should have emailed you a tracking number. LMK if you don't receive the cat by Wednesday. Also, the o2 sensors have less than 10k miles on them. Maybe even 5k, so you should notice an immediate increase in performance. It might take a few minutes for your ECU to adjust and idle to stabilize, then over the next few days it will adapt to your driving style. __________________ 4 MORE YEARS BABY!!! | | | 09-27-2008, 05:09 PM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Denver, Colorado Posts: 3,212 | Thanks again Jess. Yes i have recieved the tracking numer from DHL, until then i'll try to keep the Ti at home. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
