Talking Idaho Road Trip Pics

well, after a 750 mile (11.5 hour) drive to see my parents in Southern Idaho...i ended up snapping a few pics for you kids.
we had a great time. i took Cindy Lou and the dogs to all of my old fishing spots and arrowhead hunting grounds. we drove an extra 300 miles while there.
my car ran perfect. we got 35 mpg going there and 37ish on the way home with the wind at our arse. i ran a tank of 93 octane ($3.99 gallon) on the way home. (1800 miles driven in total)
ok, here are some pictures...enjoy!

you guessed it Brendan. my father has 2 bugs...a 1965 in mint condition sits in the garage. the red car is a 1967 with one heck of a story. my father has restored them both to beautiful stock condition.

the bumper issue will work itself out eventually...i don't think it'll be too hard to get one when the time comes.

Looks like it was a pretty good trip.

That balancing rock looks pretty sweet....I dig stuff like that.

Southern Minnesota and South Dakota are overly littered with Windmills....makes me sick. 1 or 2 in a 5 mile radius is ok.......40 more or less is not.

Zippy looks great

If you've ever spent any time in West Virginia or Kentucky and were able to see how coal mining can ravage entire hillsides and ecosystems, those windmills suddenly don't look so bad.

Great pics, Sean- looks like y'all had a great time! I <3 road trips!

it was an awesome trip! plenty of wildlife roaming the hills of Wyoming too.
there were probably 5 or 6 spots with windmills...they are huge! we don't have them here around Denver, so i was amazed at their size.

1000 & 2000 grit wet sand. then hit it with the turtle wax headlight repair kit.
