Default Belts SNapped 96 318ti

So I went to try and accelerate to jump on the highway i think one belt snapped and the others went. My battery light turned on, the steering wheel was hard, and my antifreeze exploded. I'm thinking the battery light came off due to the alternator belt, the powersteering belt, and the one for the fan. My question is how many belts the 96 318ti have in the front bottom? It seems they are all missing.

It has 2 belts. How far did you drive before shutting it down?

Your steering well got tight cause you lost power steering because the big belt drives the power steering, coolant pump, and alternator. The smaller belt is the ac compressor belt.

it's really easy, just pop the covers off the tensioners, use a wrench or ratchet to loosen them and slide the belts on, you can probably find a belt routing diagram online if there isn't one in the owners manual
