» Site Navigation | | » Recent Threads | | | | | | 09-02-2011, 07:23 PM | #1 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2009 Location: Maryland Posts: 265 | stock dash swap questions im swapping in a black dash, to replace my gray dash tomorrow. i know where all the bolts, and screws are. i searched, and everything i found for 'dash swap' covered sedan dashes, not stock dash swaps. today removed the glovebox, the under panels on the drivers side, the clock, radio. ill be removing the gauge, bezel, gauge cluster, ac controls. should i remove or do i have to remove the steering wheel? i just want to know if there is any precautions i should take. i know i have to unhook the battery cables. i have a tendency to break things, thats why i am asking. thanks in advance, john __________________ Quote: Originally Posted by bubela I’m happy in my blissful ignorant euphoria! I'd leave the battery disconnected for a good 20 minutes or so before unplugging the airbag. IIRC, you shouldn't have to remove the passenger airbag. Good luck with the swap, make sure to post a before and after pic. I did the same swap on my first ti.
