Ahhh 2 of my biggest loves in one thead - BMW's and BEER. I am kind of shocked that there were no German, Belgium (though Blue Moon is Belgian style), or Czech beers on the poll. Here are some of my favorites that you can get fairly easily in the US.

Spaten Lager (German)
Franziskaner Weisbier (German) brewed by Spaten
Hofbrau Original (German)
Hoegaarden (Belgium)
Kronenbourg (France)
Pilsner Urquell (Czech Republic)
Fat Tire (US brewed in the Belgian style)

Of course I still put back Miller Lights and PBR's from time to time, but I prefer something with a much better, smoother, refreshing taste.

Has anybody ever been to Oktoberfest in Munich?

Never really grew a taste for beer in college.....

Give me a bottle of Crown Royal, I'll be happy for awhile.

Corona tastes like Cat Piss!!!! and looks like it too! The real choice of beer that has a great taste and a good price. Dos Equis XX!!!! Now that is how beer should be done.

The Germans do cars well.

The English do beer well. (I do like Guiness, but prefer Murphy's for commercial stout)

The Scotts do wiskey well (although the Woodford reserve makes me a Burbon drinker again).

The Hiatians do Run well.

The Russians and Poles do Vodka well (but not the typically available brands in either case. Drink what the locals drink)

The Americans actually design good golf clubs, but they are all made in Asia somewhere. It took me a while to find something we do well...

Heineken tastes skunky no matter when you drink it. Not my flavor. Guinness is great, but not nearly as good tasting in the states as it is in Ireland/Scotland, so it's so hard to drink here. My personal favorite is Harpoon UFO. It's an unfiltered beer that doesn't have the strong citrus taste that a Sam summer has, but it's smooth and filling, with little aftertaste. An all around well crafted beer. And the guys at Harpoon are great! So get some. Magic hat #9 is a close second, with Shipyard Pumpkinhead in third.
