OEM euro clear tail lights

Did anyone notice when they put in their tail lights that the outermost light doesn't go on with parking lights/headlights like the US setup does? I looked closer and the Euro cluster where the bulbs are located lacks a little piece of metal that goes to the outer bulb socket so it's only used when braking. I personally would prefer having the rear of my car better lit.

So I will be using the US cluster but have to get the correct orange bulbs from the dealer to fit since the Euro orange bulbs are offset for the blinker thus they won't fit in the US socket.
