I said install the good used senser with the car off and reset the DME by disconnecting the battery and opening a door. Never install or disconnect a senser with the enigine running

I did what you said. Perhaps I wasnt detailed enough. I was just telling you what the car did after I tried what you suggested. I put in a good sensor with the car off. I reset the DME by disco the batt and opening a door. I never installed or uninstalled a sensor with the engine running. I may not be a mechanic as a profession, but I know enough to not do something like that!

I did exactly what you said. After the DME is reset, and I try to start the car, it struggles to start. While struggling, the CEL is off at this time, then about 2 seconds later, the CEL comes on and then the car starts up. Again, this is AFTER I did what you told me. So the CEL does reset, but the car wont start until the CEL comes back on. It refuses to start until the CEL shows up...

What I was asking was, should I keep trying to reset it like that? Where should I turn next? Other possible causes/issues . I have no problem tackling any problem that isnt a motor swap, but im not very good at diagnosis.. .

No, I dont have the Peake scanner with me.. im going to go ahead and guess its just the TPS sensor, as KINGAMR and I tried to clear it many times. Its the only code my car was throwing. we cleared it over and over .We also tried reset the DME as you instructed me to do, it didnt solve the issue. I cant do the pedal trick because the TPS . so that sucks too.. I know its hard to diagnose when not in front of a car . Ill try and get another reading as soon as I can. Any other recommendations or possible causes are much appreciated!

My only other guess is you might have the wrong plug hooked to the tps and another senser that shares the same style plug. Other then that you got me stumped. Sorry I couldn't help
