You know you a drive a 318ti when...

• You park 1 feet away from the curb, and your still fully inside the parking spot.
• You can remove the door panel and oil the plasitic guider on the regulator in less than 60 seconds.
• You show off to your friends that you can lock the door, roll up the windows, AND close the sunroof with your key.
• your friend spends an hour looking around your car, then finally asking,"How do you roll down the windows?"
• you think going 35mph on a turn is normal.
• you get all worked up when you see another fellow 318ti.
• You find reasons to modify something.
• You constantly search on Craigslist for a 318ti, even though you have no intentions of buying one.

hahaha thats great. and so true.... except for the doing all that stuff with your door key. Mine wont do that. I dont know what the deal is.

My TI wont do this with the key either and my buddy was so psyched that it was supposed to. Never even heard of this till then.

I just replaced the hatch shocks on mine. I am so glad to NOT have to use my head anymore! Downside, it is harder to shut it now! lmao

You know you have a ti when it is mistaken for a Civic at quick glance.
Months I walked past this car before I bought it. Never knew it was a ti until the day I bought it! lol

There is a curve near my mothers house where they say the maximum safe speed is 25 mph; my ti handles it with no problems whatsoever at 45 - 50 mph.

over here in chicago, we have lakshore drive which is a really nice cruise at night or early in the moring- one curve known as dead man's curve has a suggested speed of 25 and most cars adhear to it. in my ti however; i went through it at 40 and barely noticed a hint of body roll. ive been through this same stretch with many other cars ( blazers, MB 300, taurus,) and have ALWAYS had to slow down to at least 30 so as not to encounter significant body roll.

i always get excited to see another ti and there are alot of them, but most are being driven by middle age women - so its doubtful they know about 318ti.org

haha i take that turn all the time when i'm leaving for SIUC just for sh!ts and giggles, b/c i don't want to take the edens, dan ryan, or the tri-state to get to southern and deal with the traffic then go through chinatown to get the edens to I-57

you know u drive a ti when the bigger e36 owners say u need to swap the tiny 4 for a 6 and you tell them don't want to b/c you like the power (which i do but i will eventually switch to the mectric mechanics engines don't know which ones)

I know what you mean. I just bought my Ti last month and I can't believe how well it handles curves. Your also right about Ti's and old lady's in Chicago. I was driving south on 94 and saw a silver one w/ the license plate: " JEN 28". I looked over thinking it would some blonde hottie...DENIED..old lady looked like she was driving to church.
