i just bought my ti! incidentally, my first bmw (or, really, non-american) car. mallard, i'd really appreciate you pulling the vin for me - it'll give me something to look forward to reading after i'm through with the manual.

i think the 323 verts were special order? not 100% though, ive only seen 3 or 4 323 verts

Thanks for all the work Mallard...but that leaves me with some questions about:
AS95008

991 PRE-SERIES MANAGEMENT

If in your journeys you have come across these before, maybe you could shed some light on them.

After some research, I found out from a buddy who is an exec at Ford, special codes are available for internally ordered cars for management that flag a car for tighter production tolerances (panel gap, extra clear coat etc). These cars do not have to be
PDIed by a dealer prior to delivery as it is all prepped in advance from the production line. There is a good chance my car was originally a BMW exec ordered car...doesn't add value, but kind of different.
