I know!!! I couldn't figure out which car he was talking about. I heard about a M3 with a head gasket problem. A 318ti that got wrecked. And a clubsport. Then his grammar gives me a headache and I can not even finish without getting lost and confused.

I remember when that engine was listed on ebay. They didn't list any of the modifications or specs whatsoever. All they said was "it's a race motor". Who in their right mind is going to buy a modified motor without knowing the specs? Heck, I'd want the blueprints and dyno results at the very least, but if something were to break, you wouldn't even know where to begin. There's a sucker born everyday I guess. Still, 5 grand isn't too bad for a clubsport. Maybe you could talk him into throwing that "race motor" in with the sale

so the guy who bought Josh's Clubsport is selling it so he can fix his other 318ti that he crashed? (that I'm assuming isn't a Clubsport) why not part out the crashed one and keep the CS?

I think the seller is planning to repair his M3, but I don't want to give myself another headache by re-reading the ads to confirm that. If I had to guess, I'd say he was planning to put the "race motor" into the Club Sport. At any rate, his plans are irrelevant. Someone needs to buy the Club Sport and restore it into a Club Sport again.

Oh hell no, I'm not going anywhere near that motor... I remember seeing that on ebay, and the thread that roadrash found, this would just be a nightmare for me... The clubsport is pretty cheap for this area (6 other ti's on CL here, all for a similar price), but I'm watching for a swap candidate car...

Nah, he wants to fix his m3 with the blown headgasket. I guess he isn't going to keep the crashed ti either... but who knows what crackheads are going to do?

Also on ebay for buy it now at 4000 with more pics plus showing his crashed black 318ti.

Lots of ugly rust and holes on the undercarriage?

New to the 318ti, and is that a normal problem to look for with these cars?

I bought Josh's old Club Sport from the guy in CA. Yes, he does write poorly and ramble, but I found him to be very honest about the car and it's condition. Looking at Josh's ebay ad, and this guy's, I really, really wonder why Josh didn't post more info or pictures of the rust on his car. Surely he wasn't trying to mislead anybody?

Talk about being honest about the car's condition; Josh sure wasn't, unless he sent a slew of pictures and info to the guy before he bought the car. From what the guy told me, that definitely didn't happen.

I sent an email to Josh at thesk8nmidget@yahoo.com a month ago asking about the car that I never received a reply to. Maybe that's not an email address he uses anymore.

Now to start bringing the car back to decent shape....
