Horsepower alone does not make a fast car. AWD sustains a brutal amount of powerloss through the drivetrain. and i didn't see it get stomped , they both roughly do low 5's to 60mph do they not?... and either way, performance doesn't make up for its lackluster, down-syndromey look. Put both right in front of me stock vs stock, and Id probably end up with the mitsu. And trust me, im a bimmer freak - i just think chris bangle should be shot for letting that front end leave the factory. __________________ 11/97 Base 328Ti | | | 04-25-2008, 02:54 PM | #14 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Eugene Oregon Posts: 6,182 | that front end is the worst out of any car in production this year! __________________ -Josh Sold-1995 318ti, Club Sport, Hellrot Sold-1996 318ti, Active Model, Boston Green Current- 1995 318ti, sport model, schwartz | | | 04-25-2008, 03:08 PM | #15 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2008 Location: Omaha, NE Posts: 737 | Quote: Originally Posted by Philly and i didn't see it get stomped , they both roughly do low 5's to 60mph do they not?... and either way, performance doesn't make up for its lackluster, down-syndromey look. | Well, in the video, they managed 0-60 in the Mitsu in 5.2 seconds. BMW claims 5.1 seconds for the 135i, and they "consistently ripped off 0-60 in 4.7 seconds." Don't get me wrong, I like Evo's, I just think they've tried to take it more mainstream with the X (kinda like Subaru and the STi). While the 1er may not be the prettiest car out there, I think it still looks better than many other cars available right now (Toyota Yaris hatchback anyone?).
