Exclamation Overheating issue

so a while back the alternator/ water pump/ power steering belt popped the car overheated instantly so i turned it off,it had never overheated before.. today i replaced that belt and well the battery was dead so i jump started the car.. left it on for about 15mins then turned it off.. the car died instantly.. i jump started it again drove it for about 5 blocks and the car was overheating but not nearly close to the red and alot of white smoke was comming from the engine bay... turned it off again and once again died instantly i let it cool for around 20mins and then jump started once again turned it on and left it idling for around 10-15mins and white smoke started coming from behind the engine block beside the battery... so i really have no clue whats going on and dont know what to ask you guys.. just wanna know what you guys think the problem could be?

Sounds like you blew the plastic pipe off the back of the head, or warped the crap out of the head and it's dumping coolant on the exhaust. Either way, you'll more than likely need a new cylinder head.

EDIT...beat me to it....

Stop killing the engine. Youve likely blown the hose at the rear of the engines head. Its about a 20$ part and a few hours of labor if its your first time. Short trips cause white smoke btw. You need a new battery, as yours is dead, also have the alternator checked after you put a battery in, or jump it, remove the battery, and see if the engine stays running. If it runs, alternator good, if not, alternator bad, i have one here if need be for you.

i forgot to mention that the day the belt popped white smoke filled the inside of the car and there was coolant all over the engine bay.. and when you say a couple of hours of work what would i have to do to get to that plastic pipe?

There are a few ways to get to it, mainly need to remove the cowl and wire harness above the engine. You can remove the battery and tray and reach back there to try and remove the bolts to it. Or, if youre like me, remove the cowl and harness, then the engine mounts to tilt the engine forward and down, thus giving you a decent amount of room to remove, install, and properly torque it.

#8 and 9 as well as new clamps
