My COP kit arrived today and now I need to hit the salvage yard to find a OEM COP wiring harness. Either I-4 or I-6 as someone suggested taking a I-6 harness and just remove the 2 extra plugs. I think the kit looks great and I needed it since I have a feeling my current coil is on its way out. John will have to explain the pros/cons of this set-up. I have never seen it on an M42/44. __________________

rob_e30 has been selling them for the last couple of years. he has several posts on here about them. The main advantage is being able to replace individual coils, not having to deal with a coil "pack," and no spark plug wires. It's a more direct and reliable ignition source. No plug wires = no resistance, and as mentioned you gain the ability to replace coils individually. Check out hqautosport.com. I have one of their cop kits on my 91 318is and 97 Ti. I won't claim any seat of the pants dyno hp improvements but feel the idle smoothed out a bit.
