Default Fun rental kart video

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=clIEdA0GdE4

Grr.. embedding not working well for me, user error no doubt..

Not Ti related, but still fun. A few friends went out to a local rental kart track recently. Karts are lower end arrowkarts, but still racing frames. Not the typical concession karts. Motors are bone stock 9hp honda motors, I believe. It uses a centrifugal clutch, so the trick is to never come off the throttle for that long. Top speed is in the 40's somewhere.

We were in a mixed group with some folks that had never been on the track before and I misjudged the speed of the slower karts in the one corner where I spin. It was spin, or nail the other guy pretty hard. To much rear brake on one of these karts and spinning it is easy to do. Luckily, I pick my friend right back up his next time around and have some fun chasing him down again.

Video shot with a gopro HD attached to my helmet. Should have some new Ti track video with the same camera next weekend.

Not a bad looking track. Looks like a lot of fun. Suprised they let you have the camera on there.

I went to this place once...talk about awesome

With the size and weight of cameras coming down, they see a lot of people at this track with cameras. Most of the guys that race competitively have cameras on their karts.

The mounts with the gopro are good enough that I doubt the camera would come loose if properly installed. I use some butcher's twine on mine just in case it comes loose I don't send my camera smashing to the concrete at a high rate of speed.
