Hey guys new mod, BMW Motorsport Cross Brace Kit WITH buffer stop, I can really feel the difference.

The rubber stop serves no purpose on a M42/M44.

REMOVE THE ORIGINAL SINGLE BRACE!
It is a safety issue.

I see two weird things in those photos.. Why did you leave the stock brace on the car? It should be removed. It is also weird that you have them in a different set of holes. My x-brace attached to the same rear points as the stock brace.

Also, what is the metal shim thing under the front driver side bolts? Why three bolts?

Did you get a factory part or ?

In the event of a front end colision I think having both braces will prevent the engine from moving down and back thereby shifting force to the passenger compartment.

mine 2, i just install the stock brace in the next set of holes(stock hole) but i removed cause the muffler hit the brace so i just leave the red one on the car

yeah everything is factory part even the buffer stop that dont work on m42/44 engine but im going to swap engine in the future

hey how did you guys install the xbrace? Did you use the rivet nut from BMW (51718175003) or had to go aftermarket?
