I want one for my car, so I just ordered ABS plastic and the hole saws to make it Problem is I had to order a large sheet because of the minimums for orders. Looking to help offset some of the cost. I can sell with or without gauges. Props to Ron Stygar for the idea, drawings and instructions. __________________ -Jeff | | | 07-20-2009, 03:58 AM | #2 | Member Join Date: Oct 2008 Location: St. Louis, MO Posts: 91 | you NEED to buy one or you will be thrown off of the forums. | | | 07-20-2009, 03:53 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Saint Paul, MN Posts: 3,244 | I have thought about making this gauge bezel in CAD and having it rapid prototyped. __________________ My Former Rides 1999 318ti Alpine White, Cali Roof, Dinan goodies 1996 318ti Hellrot California Edition | | | 07-20-2009, 04:01 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: Central NJ Posts: 2,440 | How much? But, they are really in a poor viewing position there. I wouldn't be able to see the right gauge in 3rd and 5th. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 07-22-2009, 12:03 AM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2008 Location: Central Florida Posts: 678 | I made that cluster back in 99' from the same instructions... on my old 98' ti __________________ 2LT Rodriguez CA ARNG TURBO 96' Sport, Alaska Blue, Auto Custom JohnBoy Turbo, Midnight-Tunning Software, HKS BOV, e-Pod Gauge Pod, BavAuto Springs, Bilstein Sport, e30 3.73 LSD, Depo P36, Apexcone 55w HID, OEM Spoiler, M3 Lip, M3 Mesh Grill, Crossdrilled Rear Rotors, M3 Front Brakes, Sparco 3 point Harness, Euro M3 Wheel, K&N cone, Clear Corner/Sides/Tails, M3 Center Console & Arm-rest, M3 Red Cluster Needles, M3 Mirrors & Side Skirts, RD Exhaust, DS-1 wheels!... | | | 07-22-2009, 01:02 AM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2009 Location: Columbia MD Posts: 215 | How much are you thinking of selling them for? I've been considering finding a location for a coolant and oil temp gauges. One piece of ABS there might do it, and still leave space for the cig lighter and alarm light and mic.... __________________ *Except 318ti '97 318ti M-Sport '95 M3 BMWCCA | | | 07-22-2009, 01:15 AM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2008 Location: Raleigh/Charlotte, NC Posts: 1,233 | just got the stuff to make it today, not sure when I will have time should have enough material for 3 or 4. Sucks I don't have a Ti to put it in now haha. I was thinking about selling them for $25..... __________________ -Jeff | | | 07-22-2009, 05:11 AM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: Central NJ Posts: 2,440 | Yeah, can I custom order just two gauges (Middle and far right, for Vac/boost and oil pressure)? And if you could somehow make space on the far right for the cig lighter plug, if not, that's ok. But I'll take one for $25. You could probably ship first class with that light of a thing in a jiffypack. | | | 07-22-2009, 09:59 AM | #14 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2009 Location: Orange County, CA Posts: 2,019 | dude thats legit setup __________________ V2 in progress.
