Is it practical to use my small kit on my m44 and hook it up to a push button activate and only use it after 5k or 4k . Or would it be a waste ? __________________ was the 1 an only Bagged Ti on 19's!! | | | 11-27-2011, 03:54 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: Miami, Florida Posts: 483 | WASTE! __________________ | | | 11-27-2011, 04:02 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2009 Location: Miami, FL Posts: 874 | Quote: Originally Posted by 3.2TI WASTE! | +1 __________________ Mods: 325is zender spoiler, 3" carbon fiber antenna, 5% tints rear windows, black out grills, Fogged air intake, Ds1 wheels, Rokkor coilovers, bilstein rear shocks, blacked out tails and home made angel eyes | | | 11-27-2011, 04:10 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2010 Location: Potomac Falls VA DMV Posts: 1,794 | What he and he said ^ __________________ Im guessing im the youngest member on here with a S52 power'ed Ti at 16 years old! | | | 11-27-2011, 04:12 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2009 Location: Miami, FL Posts: 874 | not really a reason to have meth shots on a engine that is not FI __________________ Mods: 325is zender spoiler, 3" carbon fiber antenna, 5% tints rear windows, black out grills, Fogged air intake, Ds1 wheels, Rokkor coilovers, bilstein rear shocks, blacked out tails and home made angel eyes | | | 11-27-2011, 04:21 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2010 Location: Ottawa Posts: 579 | Quote: Originally Posted by dguzzardo22 Is it practical to use my small kit on my m44 and hook it up to a push button activate and only use it after 5k or 4k . The kit is mostly for cooling the engine but doubt the stock m44 needs it. a simple air intake will do fine. __________________ | | | 11-27-2011, 06:35 AM | #9 | Member Join Date: Aug 2011 Location: Long Beach CA Posts: 88 | the best ones I've seen use injectors in the intake and are sync'ed to to the fuel injection/ign via a controller. A lot of Mazda 1.8 DOHC NA guys use them. I'd be careful as to how much you inject at first though. | | | 11-27-2011, 07:12 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2005 Location: Louisiana Posts: 1,093 | I had a scion tc with a turbonetics turbo and I bought it then . It has a adjustable boost controller to activate it but I was just gonna run it to a push button . I would like to get a turbo for it I'm waiting on that thread with the full kit so I can just buy everything at once . __________________ was the 1 an only Bagged Ti on 19's!! | | | 12-15-2011, 10:49 PM | #11 | Junior Member Join Date: Dec 2011 Location: MA Posts: 2 | Quote: Originally Posted by dguzzardo22 Is it practical to use my small kit on my m44 and hook it up to a push button activate and only use it after 5k or 4k . Or would it be a waste ? | I'm new here, saw a link on another forum about a mod to remove the secondary air pump without getting a CEL. ---------------- About all water/methanol will do for you is clean the carbon off the tops of the pistons. Probably a good thing, just use a very small oriface. You will have to run it for a while to get it to get the carbon off, it's really the steam that softens it up. I'm running water/meth on my 5 series, I have nitrous and put it in to make sure I didn't have any detonation problems. There is no mechanical way of retarding the timing, so I installed this just to make sure the pistons didn't melt. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
