IIRC all the e36 struts are the same, except for the M3 and "sport" suspension struts.

And I don't know why everyone thinks slamming a car makes it handle better. It F's the alignment and causes more issues. Cut springs won't give you enough of a spring rate increase. Just a crappy ride and the ability to drag the bottom of the car over pebbles.

There is a formula for the spring rate increase from cutting springs. If it's done correctly it can be beneficial. Not on these cars though, with the type and size of springs used.
