Default Air bag light

My airbag light comes on when i start my car and after a few minutes it turns off. The passenger airbag cover is loose but im not sure if that is the problem. Does anyone know what this is and if it is serious. How much could it cost to fix?
Thanks

It is not serious but the two most likely suspects are
  • passenger seat mat
  • seat belt switch
This sticky might be better.

My seatbelt light doesn't ever stay on. It comes on when i turn on my car and then goes off whether i have it on or not. Does this mean that it is the seat belt switch?

I have just decided to live with my airbag light. I've gotten used to it and even miss it when I'm not in my car.
