Default Hi! Great Site

Hi everyone, I've been lurking on this site since I bought my ti in July. What a great wealth of info for my car. This is my first BMW and it's a stick. The roof seal leaks and I'm in the process of replacing it. So far I've removed the interior except for the dash and door panels. And have found the rust. It's not too bad but I need to remove the roof frame. I think I need to make 5 posts before I can read the TIS articles posted by cali-ti.
This site is required reading for any DIY ti owner. Thanks to all for the info.

I saw your question on my home page. I have never dealt with the repairs associated with the california top. I hope I never have to actually...that's why mine stays in the garage during the tropical monsoon season. Good luck with any and all repairs.

I figured it out. The seal was attached with silicone making the roof assembly difficult to remove. I removed the seal first and the assembly lifted out quite easily. Thanks for your response.
