I did find this harness, however, which I thought was kind of fun. I just need to get the matching dog. | | | 08-03-2012, 07:23 PM | #5 | Member Join Date: Feb 2010 Location: Wichita, Ks Posts: 86 | lolz, yeah idk, ill just keep my eyes open on classifieds and put out some feelers, if u know anyone, send em my way! just email me at 318tiforever@gmail.com __________________ '74 2002ti (Departed) '82 320is (Departed) '87 535i (+360k Departed :'( ) '88 535is (200k en-route to being reitred) '98 318ti (150k Active) '04 330ci (Newest Member) | | | 08-03-2012, 10:53 PM | #7 | Member Join Date: Feb 2010 Location: Wichita, Ks Posts: 86 | thanks for that Uber, i found other install directions here http://www.unofficialbmw.com/e36/int...t_install.html but that part number will make finding the harness much easier, i already have the relay, the harness is the last thing i need, then its the install __________________ '74 2002ti (Departed) '82 320is (Departed) '87 535i (+360k Departed :'( ) '88 535is (200k en-route to being reitred) '98 318ti (150k Active) '04 330ci (Newest Member) | | | 08-03-2012, 10:55 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2010 Location: Nor Cal Posts: 281 | I prefer pictures, but that looks like an insane amount of work for butt warmers. Its weird that PN doesnt come up on realoem but i found it on tischer, not too bad to buy new if you have to. __________________ -Alex | | | 08-03-2012, 10:59 PM | #9 | Member Join Date: Feb 2010 Location: Wichita, Ks Posts: 86 | i only have to do bout half of that work, i have heated Vaders already so all i have to do is install the harness, looks to me like it would be a days worth work maybe a lil longer, the interior of our cars comes apart and goes back together fairly smoothly, and as far as getting the wiring through the firewall that would just take a coat hanger and some patients __________________ '74 2002ti (Departed) '82 320is (Departed) '87 535i (+360k Departed :'( ) '88 535is (200k en-route to being reitred) '98 318ti (150k Active) '04 330ci (Newest Member) | | | 08-03-2012, 11:02 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2010 Location: Nor Cal Posts: 281 | You are either much more patient than me or have much more spare time than me. Either way kudos for tackling this. I have butt warmers in my prius (commute 100 miles a day dont hate =P) and I love them but I wouldn't feel satisfied spending a full day to install them. __________________ -Alex | | | 08-03-2012, 11:15 PM | #11 | Member Join Date: Feb 2010 Location: Wichita, Ks Posts: 86 | lol prius....naa its cool that means ur ti is a garage baby anyways i have more patients than most might, and i have a personality type that doesn't let me stop tinkering with things. and as far as time goes, its not like i have to drive my car much of anywhere, i live bout 1/2 mile from campus and i have a bicycle that i ride everywhere (even to the store), so the project can take as long as it takes to get er done __________________ '74 2002ti (Departed) '82 320is (Departed) '87 535i (+360k Departed :'( ) '88 535is (200k en-route to being reitred) '98 318ti (150k Active) '04 330ci (Newest Member) | | | 08-03-2012, 11:22 PM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2010 Location: Nor Cal Posts: 281 | Quote: Originally Posted by e28forever lol prius | Yeah, atleast its the prius C which doesnt look as hideous as the other ones. __________________ -Alex | | | 08-04-2012, 11:44 PM | #13 | Member Join Date: Feb 2010 Location: Wichita, Ks Posts: 86 | found a guy on bimmerforums willing to sell me his harness out of his M3 for 25 bones, i told him ill take it, thanks everyone for all the help! __________________ '74 2002ti (Departed) '82 320is (Departed) '87 535i (+360k Departed :'( ) '88 535is (200k en-route to being reitred) '98 318ti (150k Active) '04 330ci (Newest Member) | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Thread Tools | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
