SC Posts: 344 | NEED HELP! PART #'s!!!!! Ok I got a wish list.... lets see if anyone can find these! Earlier last year I asked on the forum if someone knew the part numbers for the non-US spec knee bolsters for the TI. One dude from Europe said he'd check for me... he never got back to me on it.... I'm not sure it would help anyways knowing that he has right hand driver ti. What's the difference you ask? Well, the non-US spec has knee bolsters with shelves. Yes that's right... much needed shelves. After a while I just thought they were for right hand drivers only, but recently browsing through the member galleries I found this!!!! http://www.318ti.org/gallery/showpho...medium&cat=500 chrisferreira's pics show left-hand-driver knee bolsters with shelves (driver's side and passenger side)!!!! But chrisferreira lives in Brazil....Someone find these for me (or even the part numbers!!!)... I've tried the etk... they are the numbers for our knee bolsters (but show the shelved ones in the diagram). I've wanted these for years now. Lastly, anyone know the part number for CHROME pullout headlight/foglight switches? And also the E brake button in CHROME? Only place I can find them are on European sites and European Ebay auctions. I know that BMW made them in CHROME. Just need part numbers. | | | 02-27-2005, 12:52 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Cola. Posts: 3,156 | Yes, the chrome 'bling' was introduced in the roadster/coupe` and should come up searching that way. Possibly only the 'M' cars, but maybe not. Also available was a chrome trim ring for the shifter boot and chrome lock buttons for the door locks, that may be of interest... They also offger a chrome/leather shift knob that would work well with your theme. I don't like slippery shift knobs myself. That missed 3rd gear shift can get quite expensive... I'm sure you are well aware of the chrome trim-ringed instrument cluster, but the roadster one has 'Roadster' printed on it, which would be a bit weird in a ti. MAYBE the Coupe` cluster does not? Or perhaps is says 'Coupe' on it (which I think would be 'socially acceptable')? I have not studied a Coupe` closely enough. A friend of mine has an M roadster which I have seen many times a nd driven a few... Hers is a 1999, and has the chrome bits if the model year helps you in your search. | | | 02-28-2005, 11:57 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Cola. SC Posts: 344 | Thanks Jim- I am familiar with all the pieces you have mentioned. Honestly, I have an auto, which I'd rather have. So shifting period doesn't mean a thing to me.. hehe... I do want those HVAC rings... which can be bought in the US on www.turnermotorsport.com they also can be bought elsewhere, but elswhere seems to always be in the UK (why do they get all the compact fun?). As for the theme I'm going for, it's carbon fiber and chrome. So I'd rather pick up the carbon fiber auto shifter and ebrake on www.bavarianautosport.com I already have the carbon fiber dash trim throughout my car.... and I love it. Gooten's seen it, I think he'd vouch for it. I've got a carbon fiber bezel and chrome rings around the instrument gauges. But now I want to add some bling to the headlamp and foglamp switches, HVAC rings, and door locks. However I DON'T want to get the hazard button cover and button surrounds.... too overboard for me. If you're interested I'll post some pics of my interior in the works. By the way, my black vaders' ETA is on Friday (March 4).... oh yeah. | | | 03-01-2005, 12:01 AM | #8 | I miss my Ti....... :( Join Date: Nov 2003 Location: Los Angeles, CA Posts: 828 | Have you tried the dealer? I am pretty sure if they look hard enough you can find them. -Chad | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
