DFW GTG?

Any interest in a DFW get-together?

I'm thinking either weekend of 27JUL or 10AUG.

I've had a couple of requests for 10 Aug so that's the date.

Son William may have the eta back up here then too, so that's 2 E28s, 3 E36s plus my swap in progress ti, a couple of E39s, and maybe an E60 so far. Oh and I just heard from some Houston friends(either an E12 and/or E34 M) plus some local strangers.

10Aug I'll fire up the grill at 2:00. We'll have plenty of parking, shade, and a/c.

All you need to bring are your BMWs and beverages. We'll have soft drinks and tea.

It was great seeing everyone that came out Saturday. We had five guys come up from Houstonin e28s and five locals so it was a tie. I was told I didn't count because I didn't have to go anywhere. lol Besides the E28s and my ti, e36 donor car and e39 M5, there was an e30 vert, an E46 330i, and an E60. We did have a vette guy show up to close a deal with one of the Houston guys on a sweet set of gold basketweaves.

We had a blast between all the sweet cars, the food(not all my doing), and all the conversation. The weather was just cool enough to be tolerable but man that grill was HOT! Cindy was laughing at me running around trying to get everything together but I couldn't have had more fun.

If this makes anyone wish they had been able to make it, Sherman's TexFest: Lone Star Burgers and Fives IV is this October 18-20 in Leakey, Tx. It's not limited to Fivers btw. We have our reservations in and hope to see y'all there for all the fun along with running "The Three Sisters".
